Friendly Baby
This is the title that I have acquired of late...as it indicates I am a very affable little boy. A few instances that reinforce this......
1. I am sure to leap at any smiling stranger who visits Grandpa's house. Subject to my genial nature have been Grandpa's colleagues and clients.
2. Our three domestic staff members are subject to this spirit of mine everyday. The cook is especially my favorite. I am sure to spend sometime playing with her.
3. The nurse and the receptionist at my Doctor's clinic also got a taste of my sociable nature, when I growled at the nurse , making her comment " I am scared"
4. A group of young girls in our apartment building surrounded me the other day when I was taken out for a little walk. I held my own very well and was not in the least perturbed, actually I made quite a few comments in my own language and as is my nature smiled and laughed. I made my first friend there, her name is Sanjana and she must be about 13 and lives in our apartment.
5. Three weeks ago we had a party at home and among the guests two little boys one of 4 and another nearly 2. I was delighted to see them and kept laughing in their company.
6. I like to interact with everybody I encounter making baby sounds to attract attention. Once I have the attention I beam my smile.
Here, I must be taking a cue form Grandpa & Priya Maushi, who I am told are as sociable if not more......

Little Explorer

I am a little explorer. Crawling around the house and examining all objects that come my way is one of my activities. I am especially fond of this little shelf with Grandpa's files. Most of all, I like the nooks and corners. Chappals of all sizes and shapes are sure to catch my fancy. Folks at home rush to the rescue of the chappals or sometimes me to keep us away.
Another favorite is the massive pillar that supports the table on which Ma and Grandpa work on their respective laptops. Which reminds me, this one time when I was permitted, I managed to type my first letters and these are 'afcodjiuferfsef'.
To feed my thirst for exploring, I am taken in this pram around the house and sometimes in the lobby.

Another view of the world- Vertical
Yes, I have pulled myself to a standing position. To be precise, this was achieved 10 days ago, on May 17, 07, much to the surprise of everyone...Grandma was the first one to spot me when I managed this feat in my cot...She immediately asked my Priti Mummy to drop everything and view me in this deed...Now, I only need a firm support around me to repeatedly perform the standing act...so far, chairs, tables, sofas, headboards, Mama's legs, Grandpa's legs have served as props in this single minded endeavour.

7 months
For all my loved ones, here is a list of my current activities
1. I can sit by myself quite well, I began this activity Saturday, May 05,07, by now am quite good at it.
2. I have began to crawl.
3. I purposefully reach for any object that catches my interest, either by crawling, moving ahead on my stomach or plunging forward when I am being carried.
4. I smile a lot more and acknowledge my Ma, my Pa and my Grandparents enthusiastically, especially in the morning when I wake up and when Grandpa/Ma return from work.
5. My diet consists of cereal, banana, gruel with dal and vegetable suited for infants, biscuit and toast (with butter) apart from milk and water.
My Grandpa makes it a point to buy a gift for me very often, thankyou Grandpa. He also takes me for a walk every now and then. Sometimes Grandma takes me for a walk too usually combined with some grocery shopping. She also cares for me through the day when Ma has to work.
"Priti Mummy" that is the new name for my Ma coined by Grandma.
Ah yes, I must tell all that I simply love water, I can have it at all times and I begin to it gulp down as fast as I can. I am told that this particular trait can can be traced back to my Ma's and Maushi's love for water.
Last month Ma went missing for a few days, I am told she went to Sona Maushi's place. And when she got back I got a very good dose of my Sona Maushi's love , thankyou Sonamaushi and Nikhil kaka for all the gifts and everything!
