I am glad my brother is here

Today I woke up and said this to my Mom, "I am so glad Arjun has come".

Now, I cant wait for him to grow up and play with me...Arjun when will that day come?

I want both

Most times when I am presented with a choice, I say I want both for eg:

Mama: Do you want a brother or a sister (a few months back, Mom asked me this).
Rono: First I want a brother, then I want a sister.

Mama: You want a toy airplane or car..
Rono: I want a toy airplane and a car...

My Mom is now wondering how to explain to me that sometimes you have to choose...however hard that may be..

Rono Dada and Garjun...

These are Grandma's names for us...

Rono Dada, is because now I am a big brother and Arjun has earned his nick name because he has to scream for attention...you see I make all the noise through the day..and do be heard he has to raise his voice over the din...

Arjun’s and Me.

Rono: Mama, I like Arjun very much…
Mama: I like Ronav and Arjun very much…
Arjun was by himself in the room when I went then, I made a hue and cry and complained “There is nobody with Arjun”…..
As soon as I wake up, I have to spot him and when I sleep, he has to be in the room. I am the first to reach his bedside when he cries…
He is also showered with kisses many times a day. Especially the soles of his feet, which I can reach when someone is carrying him around
Today we went out shopping, with Mama and grandma and while shopping I checked with Mama, who is taking care of Arjun at home…My mom comforted me and said it is Grandpa

Hysteria

I don’t like to let Mama out of my sight…especially when she goes into the bathroom, I will knock on the door, cry as if heavens has fallen down and generally be hysterical……
My Mom is still figuring out this phenomenon

Dont buy from the roadside vendor

My Mom bought the Indian Flag from a vendor at a signal. I then pointed out to her after a couple of days that she had refused the following toys for the reason that they are from the vendors at the signals...
1. Horns to wear on your head
2. Santa caps
3. Plastic flowers in a vase...

.....and then I told her I want those Horns...I also my asked my Mom to clean the flag..

Hairstyle

Rono: Mama, i dont like you in this hairstyle, change it
( i said this to my Mama, when i found she had braided her hair, I then proceeded to remove her hairband).

I like you, Mama

Rono: Mummy I like you (suddenly while watching TV)
Rono: Mummy I like you very much..( after some more thought)
Mama: I love you and Arjun ( while giving me a warm hug)

Sky is so low....

My Mom was in the hospital when Arjun was born, and my Pappa would take me to see her... I am relentless in my barrage of questions...Why? Why? Why? to the world around me...and to one of the questions when I noticed my Pappa had run out of ideas, I responded, because the 'sky is so low'.

When my Pappa..runs out of responses to my "Why's" he had responded with, "because the sky is so low".....on one occassion

Nursery Rhymes

When my Ajji asked me if I know nursery Rhymes, I responded " My toys do"

School…

My school’s name is “Small World”, this is the second year I am going to the same school, My Mom told me I was going to the next class and when I arrived home on the first day, I said, Mom’s it was the same school…
I want to go to “Big World” now.
There are many reasons I sight to not go to school, like I want to play with Arjun now tops the list…one other reason is I don’t like it.

I say this to Mummy when I think she has done something well!!

My Dream

One day i woke up and said to my Mama, I had a dream and in my dream me and my brother we holding hands and walking.

This warmed the hearts of my Grandma, Grandpa and Mama...no end.
