Ok. I am back, after being indecisive about my name for so long now, names for me are flowing like a flood. Here are a few I can recall at the moment
Babush ( My mom calls me this lovingly, also used by my grandparents)
Babbu ( My name from the womb days)
Bandu (again my Mom’s endearment)
Bundu (My Pa’s version of Bandu)
Schweet (Grandma’s name for me, the one I respond to even in my sleep)
Mr John (Grandpa’s name for me)
Mister (Again Grandma’s other name for me)
Saheb ( When I am in a thoughtful mood)
Gundu Rao ( Gradndpa’s yet another name for me)
Rono ( by all)
Ronav ( by all again)
Lonav ( by Grandma)
Dambus (when I have been naughty)
Dambuch (another endearment)
Chintan (when I am in deep thought pondering over grave issues , by my parents)
Chintamani (same as above by my Grandparents)
This is Ronav, I was born on Sep 29, 2006. This is the story of my journey through life.

October 23, 2006
This was the official date of birth as given to my Parents. I was to be a Diwali Baby, as it turned out I arrived during Dussera. My Grandma says my Mom is already ‘zuni’ ( approximately translated as old hat) by this date at Motherhood.

My first Diwali and ‘Paheli Angol’, As is the tradition in my Grandparents household, Diwali is celebrated with a lot of fervour. These are the few things that were done this year. A kandil was hung from the balcony, A rangoli was painted. Faral sourced ( chakli, chewda, ladu’s, and a new entrant bhakarwadi), and the traditional Aarti performed. Grandma performed the Arti first for Grandpa, My Parents, I was snugly asleep in my Mom’s arms and then in my Pa’s arms when Mama did the same honors. Of course there were a lot of crackers I responded by ignoring, squirming a little, or waking up bawling. I believe that the living room balcony from our new 7th floor apartment, offered a vantage point to catch all the action (fireworks) in the sky this Diwali, or so my Ma’s says. I plan to check this out myself some time soon.

My life presently revolves around feeding, sleeping, spending some time awake looking around, experimenting with my vocal chords, improvising on my expressions, and having Mom and Grandmom change my diapers, and being rocked. My Pa visits me often and likes to carry me around and talk to me. He is already conspiring with me to have me on his side. I am very fond of my Grandma, I am absolutely calm the moment I land in her arms. My Ma is trying to unreavel this mystery, I am hoping she will crack the code soon enough. I am also bathed everyday, today was my first mock ‘oil bath’. I am told I will be given my first official one tomorrow for Narakchaturthi and Laxmi poojan.

I take my sleep seriously!!!!
Today my grandaunts and grandparents from pa's side had come to see me.It seems i dozed through it all and refused to be woken up .Its a matter of time before everyone realises that i take my sleep seriously.
My name is Ronav!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi finally i gotta name!!!i have heard a lot of relatives and friends asking my pa-ma what is my name and i must confess they sounded undecided. After days of deliberation they have decided to name me Ronav(Which i've heard has got a thumbs up from everybody around...so thats good.If u ask me i like the name too!!Its seems the origins of the name came from my cousin perie who christened me Rono. Now that name was tweaked a bit and Ronav is the official name. But for perie i will always be Rono!!

Hospital to home.....
I went home 5 days after staying in the hospital-my stay at the hospital was comfortable-i
had a number of nurses and doctors atending to me and mom which was reassuring. One of my
memorable moments was the sponge bath that the nurse gave me-i overheard my mom and my
grandparents telling that i thoroughly enjoyed myself and refused to come out of the
water.

arrived!!!!!!!!
I kept my parents guessing as to when i would arrive-finally the doc took the decision and i hurried on to this world on september29th at 7.51am via a csection supervised by a panel of doctors .............and my grand uncle (also the anaesthetist who helped ease my mom,s pain) supervised every move of the scalpel to make sure i arrived safe and sound...
I saw my mom first who seemed a bit groggy ,then my dad and my grandparents......i seemed to have made them happy.....a good way to start this journey.
